Dovecote Cottage was a character cottage in Devon with limited accommodation. JRA was commissioned to look at extending the property to give the current owners more space and recently achieved full planning consent for this two storey side extension, virtually doubling the accommodation. By using traditional materials in a contemporary way, and making the extension slightly subservient to the existing cottage we were able to gain the support of the planners and provide the clients what they needed. Full planning was achieved with no objections, or conditions, thanks to a fitting design and our clear 3D design development and communications. Jonathan Reeves Reports that The Ilfracombe Wetherspoons pub is is now fully open and will be an excellent and iconic landmark in the town.

The Admiral Collingwood, which was named by Journal readers in a public vote, is being built on Wilder Road. Architect Paul Harrison said the pub’s design was inspired by a seashell and will add something “unique and dynamic” to the town.
