We are delighted to announce that we just received full planning permission on another project in Rothley today for a contemporary rear Kitchen extension and additional, bedroom and roof terrace.
The current owners are seeking create a rear extension that will suit their family life and also to extend to create an additional bedroom. The proposed rear extension will create a more open plan kitchen dining and living space more suited to modern living, opening out onto the large south facing garden, by removing the existing uninsulated rear extension. Dovecote Cottage was a character cottage in Devon with limited accommodation. JRA was commissioned to look at extending the property to give the current owners more space and recently achieved full planning consent for this two storey side extension, virtually doubling the accommodation. By using traditional materials in a contemporary way, and making the extension slightly subservient to the existing cottage we were able to gain the support of the planners and provide the clients what they needed. Full planning was achieved with no objections, or conditions, thanks to a fitting design and our clear 3D design development and communications.
